This study investigates how cinema portrays the intrusion of war into domestic and private spaces, transforming them into battlegrounds for psychological and emotional struggles. Through a combination of psychoanalytic film theory and spatial analysis, the research examines how the traumatic legacies of war shape personal identities, intimate relationships, and physical spaces, even when removed from direct combat. Focusing on three films-The Zone of Interest (2023), The Pianist (2002), The Reader (2008),-the study explores how these narratives construct symbolic, and visual representations of private spaces as sites of unresolved conflict. By analyzing mise-en-scène, character psychology, and narrative structure, the research demonstrates how war's echoes reverberate within memory, family dynamics, and spatial design, blurring the boundaries between the personal and the political. The Pianist and The Zone of Interest focus on the Holocaust's legacy, while The Reader examines post-war guilt and reconciliation.
