BURAK KARACAN

He completed his undergraduate education in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Marmara University, in 2016, graduating with a High Honor Certificate. He completed his thesis-based master’s degree in the Department of Medical Microbiology, Institute of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Marmara University, in 2019, again receiving a High Honor Certificate. In 2019, he began his PhD studies in the Department of Medical Microbiology, Institute of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul University, and completed his doctoral degree in 2024 with a High Honor Certificate.

From October 21, 2019, to May 1, 2025, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, Istinye University. Since May 2, 2025, he has been serving as a Faculty Member in the Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Istinye University. As of January 15, 2026, he has also been serving as the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology.
