ALI ZARRABİ

Dr. Ali Zarrabi is an Associate Professor and Principal Investigator at Istinye University (Istanbul, Türkiye). He also serves as an Honorary Scholar at the Graduate School of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Yuan Ze University (Taiwan). Trained as a chemical engineer (B.Sc. and M.Sc.) with a Ph.D. in Nanobiotechnology, he leads a research program at the interface of supramolecular chemistry, bioengineering, and nanomedicine to develop smart nano/biomaterials for simultaneous diagnosis and treatment of disease, with a particular focus on nanotheranostics, advanced wound dressings, skin patches, and translational nanomedicine.

Dr. Zarrabi has been an active faculty member for over 14 years and has been ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists. His contributions have been recognized by several international distinctions, including an ESI Top Article Award, a Wiley Top Downloaded Article of the Year recognition, and an Innovator Fellowship from EIT Food. He is also the founder of the nanomedicine start-up, which aims to bridge bench discoveries with real-world healthcare solutions. He has extensive experience as an invited and plenary speaker at international conferences on nanotechnology, drug delivery, biomaterials, and regenerative medicine, and he serves on the editorial boards of multiple high-impact journals—roles that help him maintain a broad, up-to-date view of the field.
