The practical contents of the course are in accordance with the Swedish legislation (SJVFS 2019:9, L150) and the EU Directive (2010/63/EU) regulating the protection of animals used for scientific purposes. The course also meets the requirements of speciesspecific education and training. Content of the advanced zebrafish husbandry course: - Biosafety and facility management - Aquatic technique - Water quality management - Basic husbandry and colony management - Breeding of zebrafish - Management of a continuous rotifer culture - Cryopreservation and IVF - Working with zebrafish embryos - Small surgical procedures including: o Fin amputation o Tattooing o IP injection o Gavage feeding
